The Red Drop Cellar Society is Spirit Horse Vineyards’ most exclusive membership—a private collecting circle created for just 30 Founding Members who appreciate extraordinary Napa Valley reds, beautifully aged wines, rare formats, remarkable stories, and experiences that simply cannot be recreated.
At the heart of Red Drop is something money alone cannot manufacture: access.
Access to decades of Napa Valley history.
Access to wines that have quietly rested in private cellars waiting for their moment.
Access to magnums, splits and library vintages produced in quantities so small that when they are gone, they are truly gone.
And access to the people, vineyards, dinners, travel and stories behind the wines.
Many of these bottles come from the private cellar of legendary Napa Valley vintner Frank Saviez, who has graciously agreed to release an extraordinarily limited portion of his collection exclusively to Red Drop members. Others come from the Spirit Horse library and from relationships built over years in Napa Valley.
Some bottles will carry the Spirit Horse Vineyards label. Others will proudly bear the Saviez Family Estates name.
Every one represents a piece of wine history that cannot simply be produced again.
This is not a wine club for everyone.
It was never intended to be.
It is for the 30 people we want sitting around the table with us.

As a Red Drop Founding Member, you receive priority access to rare Napa Valley library wines, private cellar releases, new releases and special-format bottles—including aged Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, rare blends, magnums and splits.
Many will never be released to the general public.
Some exist in only a handful of bottles.
Red Drop members get the first call.
The current cellar offering alone includes aged Napa Valley wines dating back to 2005, with some special-format releases limited to just a few remaining bottles.

Our First Red Drop Journey Abroad
Being a Red Drop member isn't simply about where the wine has been.
It's about where wine can take us.
In Spring 2027, we will host our inaugural Red Drop members journey abroad to Argentina, home to the vineyards where Spirit Horse's soon-to-debut Malbec is grown.
This intimate members experience will bring the story full circle—from the wine in your glass to the country, culture, vineyards and people behind it.
Think incredible wine. Beautiful meals. Vineyard experiences. Argentina. And a group small enough that it feels less like a tour and more like traveling with fascinating friends who all happen to love really good wine.
This will be the first international journey in Red Drop history, and our Founding Members will have the opportunity to say they were there at the beginning.

🍷 ANNUAL NAPA VALLEY HARVEST DINNER
Beginning Fall 2027, Red Drop Founding Members will also be invited to our annual intimate harvest celebration in Napa Valley with Heather Rader, Frank Saviez and Mike Saviez.
This isn't a large winery dinner or a ticketed public event.
It's our table.
Exceptional library wines. Seasonal food. Stories gathered over decades in Napa. Time with the people behind the bottles. And the opportunity to experience the vineyards and history that produced what is in your glass.

And then there are the bottles that make Red Drop Red Drop: special-format Napa Valley splits and magnums from vintages including 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009, available in extremely limited quantities. These include Napa Valley Zinfandel splits and magnums, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with Cabernet Franc with only a handful of bottles remaining.
The important thing to understand is that this list isn't permanent.
It can't be.
Once a library vintage or special-format bottle leaves the cellar, there may be no way to replace it.
That's why membership matters.

And that when we discover six extraordinary bottles buried in the back of a cellar, we can call our members rather than put them on a website.
Once the 30 Founding Memberships are claimed, Founding Member status closes. Future entry into the Society will occur only if space becomes available. The current form likewise establishes the membership as limited to just 30 people.
Because some wines can be made again.
Some experiences can be recreated.
These cannot.
